What's your city scape like?

We had a friend visit us from Iowa last week. She brought her step-daughter with her. Brittney had never been to California before. She kept saying that she couldn't get over all the palm trees everywhere.. It was the one thing (besides the pacific ocean of course) that she was looking forward to seeing in person.

I think that most people visualize palm trees when they think of southern california.

I am always so interested in what it's like in other cities where people live and call home. I guess because I have never lived anywhere else.

What's one of the symbols of your home town? What do you see all around you everyday that you take for granted?

I grew up in California and there are a lot of palms there (although they don't grow naturally).

Now that I'm out here in Alabama...the natural plant I would talk about seeing everywhere is the Kudzu. It is is EVERYWHERE! ANd impossible to kill. I actually like it though. I think it's beautiful.

It's true that palms is synonym of sunny weather as in California !

Hey girl! Yeah, work has been stressful this week! But, it is Friday and we are going to the winery tomorrow, so yay! lol

I don't really know what I see everyday and take for granted. I am going to think about this one a bit more. That will be a fun topic to keep at the forefront this weekend. I like these kinds of questions, that make you think of the things around you or even motivate you to take different pics of the "norm".

I will keep you posted of my findings. lol And then again, I may just come back with lots of winery pics! ha!! :D

Have a good Friday! Talk to you this weekend!

I have been off work this week and doing tourist type things here in SD. Twice I saw phone towers disguised as palm trees. I have never noticed them before. I am going to keep my eye out for them now, I wonder how many there are around here.
