A feast for the eyes!
Went to the Farmer's Market yesterday in La Mesa with Wendy...wholly cow what a bevy of beauties! I love the smells and colors everywhere you turn. Really inspiring color pallets to get the artist mind a churning! We also stumbled on a fabric store going out of business..everything 50% off... bad for them but TERRIFIC for me! What could be a better then heading back to the car with bags of yummy treats AND crafting supplies..yeah :)

So, I had to take down my picture that was on my last post.. I will put it back up when I can :)
Went down to the mall with camera in hand and stumbled onto a professional BMX Bicyclist exposition. I can honestly say I have never seen such an event. It was pretty darn fascinating and appears to take a whole lot more co-ordination then I have. I appreciate any skill that someone has achieved out of hard work and practice. These guys are really proud of what they can do. It also is nice to see their fans so appreciative and supportive. How cool is it that we all have a group to belong to?

my newest creation
I have been examining patterns in my life that keep showing up. Trying to sort out what works and what doesn't. This layout reflects that search.

Coronado Flower Show
Just came back from the Coronado Flower Show and Book Sale with Chip and John... Treasures for the eyes and mind everywhere you look! It always suprises me when I see tourists. I guess I forget not everyone lives here! I don't think I always remember how lucky I am to live in San Diego. I take for granted that towns everywhere are just as beautiful everywhere else.. I think they are really, you just have to know where to look.

You gotta have friends!
I just got back from having dinner with my oldest friend on the planet Lisa. This week I have been blessed to spend some quality time with some really amazing female friends. I am privileged to have some truly amazing woman in my life. I am inspired by the way a good friendship makes you feel really connected and understood in a world of distance and self absorbtion. I love that I have had the opportunity this week to step back and absorb that feeling and be present in my friendships...really cool life lesson.

Deb Day
Hip Hip Hooray I got to hang out with Deb for a day! My long time gal pal Deb was in town on business and I put her up for a night. She lives in Iowa so we never get to see each other and just hang out and have girl talk. I loved it the time and soaked up the day like a sponge. We tooled around town in her air conditioned rental car and went where ever the whim took us. My favorite thing about Deb is I can make her laugh so hard she snorts... aw friendship!! I can't help but think of the phrase that goes " make new friends but keep the old..one is silver and the other gold".. She definitely a golden gal :)

what a bummer!
SO I was so excited when I checked my blog today, because it appeared i had my first ever comment on something i posted! i was like.. hey..well alright! So, I try to open the comment to read the pearls of wisdom someone gleamed from reading my blog... and my computer starts freaking out telling me I have opened a virus and my computer is on red alert to get rid of it! That just sucks! I guess everything is ok...but not cool!

a mini book for mom
My Mom's birthday is this month and I wanted to make her a little mini book. I am ashamed to say that I have pics from a trip to visit her two years ago that i haven't done anything with yet! so-a mini book it will be! She doesn't have a computer (our family is a little tech challenged) so no chance she will see this and spoil her present :)

that's entertainment!
Went to a terrific musical at the Old Globe last night... Dancing in the Dark. It was set in the 30s and 40s so of course the costumes were amazing! It had Scott Bakula as the male lead.. yes, the guy that was on Quantum Leap. He wasn't the best dancer and singer in the world but for some reason he really sold it. If anyone were to stumble upon my blog and lives in San Diego, or will be visiting and wants to see it before it heads out of town.. here is a link to get a discount ticket...http://www.theoldglobe.org/tickets/production.aspx?PID=5479. Type in code BANDWAGON and you can get about $15.00 discount per ticket..

Yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble to try and find a little inspiration for my blogging journey and found a great book. "Artful Blogging" put out by Sommerset Studio. It was incredible to look at and very intimidating! The sites are beautiful and everyone seems so much deeper and more "arty" then I could ever think about being! Something to aspire to for sure!!! I had a package waiting on the back step. I LOVE MAIL! I had ordered 3 small ballerinas that i just feel in love with! I have no idea how I will use them, but that hardly matters with me. I ordered them from Candice Carpenter's beautiful site http://www.peacoatsandpartyhats.com/. I love her style! I also figured out how to add some photos to flickr... baby steps.
